Writing is something I loved as a kid, but I never had the confidence to take the big step further that I wanted. An assignment as a 40-year-old college student led me to write my first children’s book and rekindled that desire. Then connecting with an old friend gave me a push toward writing an adult novel. Instinct told me that to make this dream a reality, I’d need support to help and guide me, so I began looking for a writer’s group. At the time, Covid 19 made in-person meetings impossible, so we founded AWOW.
I love the small writing community we’ve built together. It’s a wonderful supportive group and I look forward to seeing all of them every week.
