My black box is the Vietnam war.  My current project, Hearts on the Frontline, plumbs how that tumult shaped my generation. Hell no, I didn’t go; but as a gay man, medically disqualified, I live past my expiration date in the wreckage wrought by those days. Adrift in space and time, writing is my rabbit hole, and AWOW my rescue team.  I connect with fellow writers from all genders, ages, and backgrounds.  The group’s critiques are insightful, pushing my creative boundaries and refining my storytelling skills, sparking new ideas and approaches to writing.
